We took a little ride through the mountains east of Salt Lake today. One the way we stopped in at the Harley dealers in Salt Lake and Sandy. We saw lots of new '04 Harleys at MSRP, even saw a screamin eagle Electra Glide and 2 SE Deuces. I found an EFI EG standard for $16K, and they also had an '03 Classic so I could compare the two.

Could be a number of things. Check the stator plug connection, the battery connections and the connections at the back of the volt meter. My guess is that something is loose and not making a connection while riding because of the vibration from the bike when riding. Also check the ground wire from the voltage regulator.
